today i start a new adventure.  my travel partner braden (who also happens to be my goodlookin’ boyfriend) and i are embarking to central america for two months!  we are going to be trekking through guatemala, honduras, nicaragua and costa rica.  this april marks both of our graduations (degrees!!) so we are celebrating with a major change of scenery.

this will (most likely) be my last post until we get back at the end of june, but if you care to follow along on instagram (@mackenzieloewen) i will do my best to update as we go!

thank you to all who follow along with my blog and write sweet comments now and then!  i appreciate it so much, it makes sharing pictures way more fun.

happy spring xx

my sister and i were lucky enough to take a little trip to orlando this past week.  we hit up universal studios, islands of adventure (which includes the new-ish wizarding world of harry potter, wahoo!!), magic kingdom + seaworld.  it was all so fun (and so exhausting).

my top three rollercoasters!

1. manta at seaworld / the hulk at islands of adventure (yay, a tie!)

2. hollywood rip ride rockit at universal studios (pick your own soundtrack!  mine: mc hammer/daft punk/black eyed peas/beastie boys)

3. revenge of the mummy at universal studios (i rode it a few times to try and conquer my fear of it, but i still left the park respecting that ride very much.  i would add a link but i don’t want to give anyone a heart attack.)

also!  maddy and i enjoyed a blast to the past at magic kingdom (our parents used to take us when we were little).  here is a little video from that day.

we have been blessed this past week, with glorious weather*

i am thankful to be able to sleep with my window open, for brighter earlier mornings and the sun patch in my room (that happens to be perfectly timed to when i am getting up these days), to eat supper on the grass, and to take walks down to the river (where the breaking ice sounds like wind chimes, as my sister describes).

au revoir l’hiver, tu n’étais pas trop de mal.

more happy things: these guys have been on constant repeat for me this week / so excited to maybe see the hunger games this weekend! / and once i have a reason to, i can’t wait to try and make some cutie lil pies!

*don’t be fooled by the palm trees!  some tropical photos snuck in here :)

(a little phone is a lot easier to sneak around with on the beach than a camera!)

these are my insta-attempts to convey the bright sunny happy colourful peaceful week we all had.

oh, this song was stuck in a few of our heads the whole time (it’s still stuck in mine).
